Thule Paceline Roof Bike Rack Installation - 2009 Acura MDX

Today on our 2009 Acura MDX, well be test fitting the Thule Paceline Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH527. Now our Acura has a factory roof rack, so well begin our test fit by simply placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles crossbars. We need to lift it up, both cam action levers at the front of the rack, so that we can position the L-bracket on the underside of the front bar. Now there are three settings here where you can set the L-bracket to fit the thickness of your crossbar. I set it to about the second notch. Once we tighten that down a little bit, well then close down both cam action levers and move to the back of the bike rack. Ill loosen up two of the wing nuts so that I can position the bracket around the underside of the rear bar. more

Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2009 Acura MDX

Today on our 2009 Accura MDX we'll be test-fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Roof-Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02103. Our vehicle does have a factory roof rack, so we'll begin our test-fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's crossbars. Starting at the front, we'll need to loosen up the large black T handles so that we can position the brackets on the front and back side of the front bar. With that in place, I'll move to the rear. We'll loosen up the black wing nut and remove the silver T bolt from the slot in the bracket so I can position the bracket around the rear bar. With the bracket in place, I can reinsert the silver T bolt into the slot of the bracket and tighten down the black wing nut to secure it. I'll move back up to the front and tighten down the black wing nut to secure the front part of the bike rack to the front crossbar. more

Today on our 2009 Acura MDX we'll be test fitting the Yakima Fork Lift Roof Mounted Bike Rack part number Y02098. With a factory roof rack on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's cross bars. Starting at the front we'll first need to remove the skewer, slide back the black cover and then loosen up the black wing nut. This allows us to remove the silver T bolt from the bottom bracket and position it around the front cross bar. Now there are three settings in which you can set the front bracket to fit the thickness of the front cross bar. I found it is best to set it to the second slot. With the bracket around the front bar we'll insert the silver T bolt into the hole of the bracket and tighten down the black wing nut. With this done I'll move to the back of the bike rack, loosen up this black wing nut and position the silver T bolt through the end of bracket and bring the bracket around the rear bar. more
